Wildlife Ranger Challenge
For the fifth year in a row, four of our dedicated rangers will be taking on the gruelling Wildlife Ranger Challenge, organised by Tusk.
This continent-wide event unites rangers from across Africa in a powerful show of endurance and commitment. Together, they’re racing to raise vital funds for the protection of Africa’s most iconic and endangered wildlife — including elephants, pangolins, rhinos, and lions.
On 20th September 2025, a team of four Wildlife Action Group rangers will join 46 other ranger teams from across Africa to take on the Wildlife Ranger Challenge — a continent-wide competition in support of frontline conservation.
This extreme 21km race isn’t your average run. Each ranger carries a 22kg patrol backpack — heavier than most checked suitcases on a flight — and must tackle tough, mountainous terrain through Thuma Forest Reserve to reach the finish line.
We need your support:
Donate to help fund our ranger patrols
Or take part yourself by running 5km, 10km or 21km virtually with friends and raise funds for the 200+ African rangers taking part.
Together, we can help protect elephants, pangolins, lions, and more.
